Ambient's experienced dance mixologists will serve as stewards at the wheels of steel at your party. Expect a journey through contemporary floor fillers and old favorites, fine-tuned to the taste of the crowd. Throughout their years of international travel and trips to domestic dance meccas like Las Vegas, Miami and New York, the DJs have had the good fortune to hear world class DJs work a crowd and observe what does and does not work. Thus their approach is to keep it fun and musical early in the evening as guests mingle. Gradually, the dance floor will fill up. The unique style of Ambient's DJs is to journey through different genres and tempos as opposed to the specialist DJ who only plays techno or hip hop.  New Jersey's dance floors generally seek greater variety. In a given night, it wouldn't be unusual to hear selections from Gnarls Barkley, Hurricane Chris, Flo Rida, Beyonce, a-Ha, Green Day, Depeche Mode, Kanye West, Donna Summer, Nelly, Madonna, Sublime, Sean Paul, Parliament, Elvis Crespo, Juanes, James Brown, Josh Wink, Benny Benassi, Britney Spears, U2, Coldplay, Fallout Boy, Usher, the Killers, James, Beck, Prince or K.C. & the Sunshine Band.  For family parties, a wide selection of genres is played, allowing all guests to join the party!

Alternatively, for those who are more inclined towards electronica, a non-stop mix of sleek trance, techno and house might be more appropriate. For formal and semiformal dances, the mix would likely gravitate towards pop dance, ballads and classic rock.  Youth-oriented parties typically feature a mix of pop, hip hop and crunk favorites.

A key component of the success of your party will be the music.  Your choice of DJ can literally make or break the party.  Ambient has the experience and extensive selection of music to create the right vibe and have your guests raving for months. Don't be surprised if you look at your watch, observe the time to be 1 A.M. and note that the dance floor is jam-packed.

Family Parties
For more traditional parties which do not necessarily emphasize dancing, we will work with our client to create an appropriate playlist and format.  We enjoy performing at family celebrations.  Whether it's a Sweet 16, First Communion Party, Birthday Party, Class Reunion, Caribbean-themed party or backyard barbeque, we will be there to create the perfect environment.  We have successfully entertained guests of all ages.  Our music collection spans from Perry Como and Sinatra, all the way up today's musical acts such as Buckcherry and Justin Timberlake.

 

 

We offer numerous games, props, line dances and parlor tricks. In the past, customized trivia contests or baby bottle drinking contests with freestyle commentary by the MC have been big hits with partygoers.  Guests are also allowed to take the mic and rock the party!  A memorable moment in 2005 was when a birthday boy sang word-for-word the classic Rapper's Delight by the Sugar Gang.  The only limits to a party concept are your imagination!
