Ambient carries an extensive music collection across a wide variety of genres. We primarily use CDs, due to their portability, high fidelity, reliability and longevity. Advances in technology allow disc jockeys to maintain their entire music collections in MP3 format on laptop computers, and quickly lookup and cue songs and playlists. The computer software programs can, if desired, actually beatmatch and mix an entire night of entertainment. At Ambient, we believe in a 'hands-on' approach to mixing and music selection, and therefore do not use the MP3/laptop combo.

Our core song list contains over 10,000 selections and we are continuously adding new music. If you have special musical tastes or we do not have the song that you are looking for, please let us know before the event and we can acquire the selection. Alternatively, you can provide us with a CD, or we can run your i-Pod through the mixing board.
